NEW YORK, August 13, 2024 – Inc. revealed today that Podimetrics, Inc., creator of the SmartMat™ and integrated clinical and patient support services that can help save the limbs and lives of people living with complex diabetes, ranked No. 500 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 – its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. In addition to being #500 overall, Podimetrics, Inc. has been ranked #17 in Massachusetts and #44 in Health Services, with the Health Services category growing by 1,119% this year. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses.
Over the last year, Podimetrics has increased the number of patients utilizing its SmartMat™ Program by more than 150 percent, and increased health plan and at-risk provider adoption of its platform by more than 100 percent. In turn, Podimetrics also nearly doubled its workforce to support the growing number of at-risk patients, and the health plan and provider customers who serve them.
“Podimetrics is honored to be recognized by Inc. 5000 for the third year in a row. Our inclusion on the list reinforces the importance of providing proactive, person-centered care to people with complex diabetes to help prevent serious and costly complications, like diabetic foot ulcers,” said Jon Bloom, MD, CEO and Co-founder of Podimetrics. “With more than 38 million people in the US living with diabetes, there continues to be an enormous opportunity to bring life-changing technology into the home to help protect mobility by helping to reduce the risk of lower extremity amputations that often lead to higher costs, poor quality of life, and earlier mortality.”
The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate is 1,637 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 874,458 jobs to the economy over the past three years.
